| | Wow.. too many songs. | ] |
Go to Music Outfitters and put your birth year into the search box. The first link is likely the top 100 songs of that year. Cut and paste that list here. Bold the ones you actually like. Understand that the word "like" in this case means, at the very least, "wouldn't immediately change the radio station from." Pick a favorite. Underline that favorite. ( 100 ) |

| | CSI: NY theme song.. whatever it's called.. | ] | Wow. It's been a very eventful past couple of days. Yesterday I gave blood and then had to go to work, which I ended up coming home sick from because after giving blood I felt ready to pass out.
Today was the first day of my Senior year in high school! Go me! I'm kind of excited because most of my classes are going to be pretty fun. The first day of school and I already had my first experience (this year) in yelling at a stupid freshman in band. It was great. Got a cute new teacher, as well, which always makes things better. There's also a German foreign exchange student who seems pretty cool. And Bonnie seems to be adjusting pretty well, so far.
I've got to go get my apron out of the washer because I got yogurt all over it at work (yech) and then, since it's a school night, I suppose I'll go to bed.
Welcome to my exciting life! Oh, and there's a guy my mom works with who has a son my age and my mom showed Ray (the guy she works with) my picture and he said his son and I should get together and hang out sometime.. kinda weird..
And then (I'm getting "Dude, Where's My Car" flashbacks) Chris told Blake at work that I like him (which I do ;) ) and that he should ask me out but he's too shy.
( clicky )

| | "One Love/People Get Ready" - Bob Marley | ] | I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.
I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.
I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.
We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.
I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.
I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken away from the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. I wish they could adopt me.
I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. I survived the attack that left me in a coma for three weeks, and in another year I will probably be able to walk again.
I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.
We are the couple who had the realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.
I am the person who never knows which bathroom I should use if I want to avoid getting the management called on me.
I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I bore, nursed, and raised. The court says I am an unfit mother because I now live with another woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who found the support system grow suddenly cold and distant when they found out my abusive partner is also a woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who has no support system to turn to because I am male.
I am the father who has never hugged his son because I grew up afraid to show affection to other men.
I am the home-economics teacher who always wanted to teach gym until someone told me that only lesbians do that.
I am the man who died when the paramedics stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.
I am the person who feels guilty because I think I could be a much better person if I didn’t have to always deal with society hating me.
I am the man who stopped attending church, not because I don't believe, but because they closed their doors to my kind.
I am the person who has to hide what this world needs most, love.

| | "Listen to your heart" | ] | Alyssa and I went and saw Wedding Crashers tonight (her second time seeing it) and it was AWESOME! It has Owen Wilson in it who is so very good looking, just like his brother Luke, and Rachel McAdams. Before that we went to Pizza Hut and got free breadsticks from Britt and half of the people from our school were there: Lindsay, Tyler, Justin, Brandon, Corey, and Brittany. So, if anyone has the chance to see Wedding Crashers, you should definitely go because it is now one of my favorite movies! Randi |

| | "All Jacked Up" - Gretchen Wilson | ] | I really am excited about something for the first time in awhile now. Even though we're leaving by 7 a.m. tomorrow, I can't wait to go to Iowa Private College Week! Crystal and I are going to visit Iowa Wesleyan and Central College. I bought twizzlers and I'm probably going to take a pillow. I'll definitely take my camera so hopefully in the next few weeks I can scan them so ya'll can see 'em.
Anyway, even though it's only 10p.m. here, I suppose I had better get to bed now since I'm going to have a very early morning tomorrow.
Not a very interesting entry, I know, but I tired and bored and not very creative, well.. ever, actually.
Goodnite all! Randi |
